5, 6, 7, 8......
Everybody DANCE!! Ms. Dineke did a fantastic job today teaching our students some street dance moves. Based on the feedback by word of mouth and on the blogs, I can tell everyone really enjoyed themselves and had a lot of fun. Dineke had partially lost her voice, so the mic was a big help! Of course our kids love to dance, so they picked it up very quickly and even managed to throw their own choreography in there as well. Naomi, Sean and Walter were all very active as well! After the recess, Naomi, Sean and Walter also sat in on some of the first form music classes which featured African drumming by our very own "SHABBA"! After that the students and teachers gathered in the multi-purpose room for a show! Music was provided by the music faculty at St. Dominic together with some other local professional musicians. They played a little bit of everything, from R&B , to Reggae to Latin and Carnival music! Quite a long day! First comment! w00t! :D I found Ms. Dinkeke to be an excellent dance teacher (even better than Ms. Halley xP) The day was pretty good yesterday, Sean and I wrote an awesome poem for Dutch in Dutch. The poem was about Respect. =D

ReplyDeleteI liked the dancing even though I'm not the most "talented" dancer. I think everyone really tried to go along with the dancing and listened to Ms. Dineke. I liked her dance that she taught us, it was simple but yet creative.
ReplyDeleteShe said my class (2B) learned the quickest so I think all of us are feeling proud, I know I am. And the music she had was really good, I enjoyed Candy Shop (i have my reasons:D)
I'm looking forward to the other days we have with our Kans people.

As dancing as a hobby I was glad to share the dancing experiance with the exchange students after sharing our national dance with them which they really enjoyed. The music was the same music we listen to so we all were really hyped up to the songs. (Drop it like it's hot!!!)

The dancing class was amazing. I learned some new things. Street dancing is very cool and now i want to go to dance classes that show us some moves. Even Naomi, Walter and Shawn did some dancing. After all that dancing later that day we had a I LIVE BAND!!! It was so awsome!! Some of us even got to participate in the band. Some of the students sang with the singer. Now I know we have some artist singer in the school( like always). Love , peace.

Third isn't that bad. Anyway, yesterday really was a great day. The street dancing was a bit different than what I expected, but in a good way. It was fun to learn new dance moves. After going throughh the dance a few times, we got to perform for our guests. Althoughh two of our main performers were missing, the dance still came out great. Sean, Walter, Naomi, and jufvrouw Dinneke were happy to have been able to see us perform in person. They were a bit shocked though. Here in St.Dominic, we receive dance as a seperate subject but at RSG, they receive it as part of their gym period. Oh well, thats what makes RSG different from St.Dominic. Can't change whats done.

The street dance class was great! The moves were different than what we usually do. I found most of the moves pretty easy. Miss Dineke did a very good job. We had lots of fun.

ReplyDelete(l)the students are very and they are type of what i expected well last year i had ummm...mr hans and the other gentle man so i already know how they interact and stuff with the children and i find that ms. dinekke is very a good dancer

ReplyDeleteStreet dancing is AWESOME!! Ms.Halley's dance class is cool too, but street dancing beats it. Ms.Dineke is even cooler. Dance class was really fun yesterday thanks to her. But still class with Ms.Halley is also fun. Sadly it always seems like it is so short.
ReplyDeleteI usually dont like dancing, but when Ms. Dineke taught us those street dancing moves, i started liking dance a bit. The main reason i enjoyed was the music. If the music is good, the dance is good.

ReplyDeleteThe best part of the Kans was the streetdancing. It was fun, active,cool, but yet so simple. I thank the teacher, because she was great. That was the best dacing I ever did, I really felt like real dancer. Maybe I should be on America's best dance crew. Laters

I loved street dancing! It was different and really nice! I just blanked out at certain times, so I might've looked a bit lost sometimes, but I still do remember all of the steps, and it really was great. Mevrouw Dineke is a really good teacher and dancer! It's great to have all of them here! Let's just hope that they feel the same way about us.
Can't wait to see what's in store for us up next! =)

ReplyDeleteThe street dancing was sooo fun. (Surprisingly) I did well on the dance. The ending part was totally awesome because we had to put in our own moves. I wish we can do more like this.

first off th dance was sick!!! and i really enjoyed it i think also my class did as well . i had a lot of fun and the music jam was really good listening to the drums and guitars and so on and the ladies voice is BeaUtIfUl!! it was fun! thanks KANS!!:)

the street dancing was great because i walked into the room thinking that was were going to do some advanced stuff but it turned out to be a few steps. at the end of the day the school had a jam and there was a band the played and sang for us it was fun.
ReplyDeletedance class was so amazing .... it was actually my first dance class that i sweat so much and enjoyed doin the moves taught by ms. dineke. it was really fun to to learn different moves and she taught it really good.the "jam" after school was also very interesting and fun, so far i am enjoying the having fun with sean, naomi and walter....till 2mrw
ReplyDeleteI dont have much to say but learning how to street dance was fun!! We learnt new cool dance steps and then put them all together. It also showed us how well the class works together. We all enjoyed it. Thank you Ms.Dineke for teaching us those steps!!

ReplyDeleteWell, I am really fond of any new dance, so this a great experiance for me. Ms. Dineke did a good job of teaching this. I felt that the whole class was really enjoying themselves. Street dancing was like a whole new thing for me. So thank you Ms. Dineke for teaching us the new moves of street dancing.

The show after school was really fun... but how come no one knew about it ? O_o Well maybe it's just me. Either way I had fun all day =D

yeah it was really cool. Our class did pick up fast. The music that we danced to went good with the steps. Ms.Dineke was a good teacher
ReplyDeleteAt first i thought the dance kind of weird (no offense) but after a few minutes the dance was ok. When it got to the part when we got into groups...we owned:)since Rajeev, Hasib, Star and I were 'the most athletic" in 2C we had the best 8 seconds dance :P
