Day 4: Movies and PowerPoint

Another day has passed, and yet again it seems as if it were only yesterday when we first welcomed our guests. How quickly time flies. Today we enjoyed powerpoint presentations made by the students of the various 2nd Formers in the RSG and also got to watch a few videos also made by the classes. They were definitely amusing and entertaining to say the least. It was also a time for the pen-pals here in St. Maarten to get a glimpse on the videos of their correspondants in Holland: it's always nice to place a face with a name. Tomorrow is our closing ceremony and that will be again more active participation. We also will get to showcase our videos we made and debut our KANS website, so we definitely still have a lot more to look forward to.

What did you think of the videos? and the PowerPoint presentation? Does it also seem like time is flying? What are your expectations for our last schoolday with our guests?

-Mr. T

  3. Time is definitely flying, and I can't believe that their trip is almost done! =( I really will miss them, but I think that they had/are having a great time! =)

The movies and powerpoint were really funny and nice. I myself didn't even know all the students' names, so with today's presentation, I matched the faces and the names. =)

The old Holland songs with the pictures in the back were nice, because the pictures were of the students before we came, so we got a chance to see what they were really like. The videos were funny with every person's own style and unique creativity, which I really liked. It is a pity that we couldn't show our videos when we went to Holland, but I think we will be showing it to the students and teachers tomorrow. Let's hope they enjoy it, too! =)

I also hope that we can give them as nice of a closing ceremony as they did. There were definitely new friends made and memories that were made. I really will miss all the students AND teachers, but I do hope that I can keep in contact with all those nice people. =)

    Waiting for the final day...

    Xoxo,

  7. Okay now back to business...

Today it was really nice to see new videos and also some of the other videos which we had to oppertunity to see already in the aula of the RSG campus. I was still happy to see it again because it was much better to hear what was going on in a smaller room. The students were quite creative in making these videos and did quite well in the editing too.

The time has gone by so fast, now the others could see what shock we were in when we realised that our trip was over. I still wish that both parties could have had the oppertunity to stay longer, but no matter how long we stay the fact still remains that we did indeed have FUN!.. and made new friendships.

Tomorrow I hope and pray that some one will start a sea of tears so I would not feel so bad anymore! So some 2nd former out there, even if you are a boy, please bring some extra eye water to school tomorrow. It will be well appreciated.

So until our final blog day arrives,

    Doegggg allemaal!!

    Kusjes!!!

  9. Yay! Second to write on this thing!
Wow they're leaving sooo fast! Time really goes quickly once your having fun to say the least.

I really enjoyed the PowerPoint and videos today. And being able to see the students in Holland and actually being told who it is was...kind of BRILLIANT(Props to whoever idea that was) I was singing along with some of their folk songs even though I don't know the words, just because..

The movies were really funny actually. I don't know if each class watched the same video(s) but the one 2B watched was where they were doing a Sports news report I believe. It was funny from the beginning where Hannad (see I learnt names today!) fell down off of his roller blades. From there it went to two boys playing soccer and a teacher beating one with a stick I think.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all what will happen tomorrow at the closing ceremony, it should be fun which is all this trip has brought in my opinion.

    Waiting for tomorrow,
    I stay,
    Nymphaaa

it was really cool how the forms made their bloopers and the extreme sports bit...
    i laughed a lot.....

after that ,,,,, i took Walter and Sean around town.......
we got bubble tea ( awesome )
    we went and bought sunglasses.......again
    Sean bought like 3 or 4 pairs...haha:D
    Walter bought 1......:D
Then we went to get watches for the both of them
Walter got a K-swiss and Sean got an Armaney
(i think it took a little more than an hour for Walter and me to find the perfect watch for Sean...hahha....every store was like ... hey, i like that.....wait no i dont .....haha :D
But we finally got it ......

Then we decided to have some fun and play some pool..... we didnt have enough time to finish the game ... because Neil's mom was waiting for us..... so walter and i just put the rest of the balls in the pool table......i would've still beat you Walter... haha :D
tht's about it.... it was really fun/.....

What is this, I'm 6th. No bother though, I know I'm not going to be last. Wait for tomorrow, I'll be either 3rd ,4th or 5th, never 6th again. Mark my words. My name is Heavenest (HQ) and I approve this message.

Wow! Today was a great day, because we played some basketball today in gym. I feel bad the gyn is not available, but it was still fantastic. Everyone was saying that Walter is better than me in basketball, that's kind of through. I realized that playing against him, it is not going too end up pretty. However when we play on the same team(including Viren) we're unstoppable. It's like Kobe and Shaq or the Celtics 3 party. Yeah, just like that. My name is Heavenest (HQ) and I approve this message. Later!

It's so sad. I barely got to know the kids from Holland. The coolest person is Naomi( no offense to Sean or Walter), and after spending 5 minutes with Melissa and her friends(including Naomi), I came to realize there's more than meet the eye. I had super fantastic time watching the videos today. Hannad is the funniest. I can see that the Dutch Kids put a lot of effort in quality and editing.

I just hope they don't forget us ( and by us I mean me). We showed the best hospitality ever.

Anyways, Thursday was pretty cool, and time really does fly... we were having a great time with RSG'ers throughout the whole week, and now, it's already time for them to leave... the videos were quite funny, I didn't understand some of the words, but at least Sean was there to translate, thanks Sean xP, and the bloopers were funny xD. To sum up, we got to know much more about the RSG'ers and for their skill of editing, I'd give them a 10.. great job!
